Re: Norm Maenner's Sport Fury sold

There could be some miscommunication, but I thought that was what he said.

Re: Norm Maenner's Sport Fury sold

Also, Harvey said he was looking for the 8 clips that hold the lower chrome at the bottom of the back window on the SF hardtop he has. I told him I would post to see if anyone had them. Should probably be in the wanted area. Anyway, got to go, have an early flight for Houston in the morning.

Re: Norm Maenner's Sport Fury sold

His computer is still in storage from when he lived in Tennessee, and he told me the times he has looked for it he couldn't find it.

Re: Norm Maenner's Sport Fury sold

Just an update, I spoke with Harvey Weaver today to see what he was up to. I had gone last Fall to look at his 59 SF convertible. He still has the 59 SF convertible, and don't think he plans to sell it at this point. It was Norm Maenner's 59 SF that Harvey purchased. He is a very nice guy, and I sta...

Re: Drop Top Woes

I checked on my car, and the adjustment bolts are all there, as well as top pads on either side. Maybe the damage occurred before the pads were put in. I don't know. I don't see how it could pinch the top with the pads in place. I may send an email to the previous owner to ask him how that happened....

Re: Dual 4bbl setup on 318

Thanks for the info. I will try to get some information from the carb doctor to see if he can identify my WCFB carbs.

Re: Drop Top Woes

I will have to check the top on my car. The top on my car was replaced within the last 2 or 3 years before I got it, but it has a small hole on either side toward the rear where it looks like the top frame has pinched it. I bet its the lack of, or missing adjustment bolts you mention here.

Re: Dual 4bbl setup on 318

Thanks again for all of the info. Isn't the B 21 7 on that intake on my 318 translated to February 21, 1957. The carbs are definitely WCFB, and have been reworked in the recent past before I got this car. Luckily I have a set of original and reproduction oval air cleaners. Right now the repro air cl...

Re: Dual 4bbl setup on 318

Yes, was wondering about the 318 Dual 4bbl setup mainly. Thanks for the information. I have a 58 Carter AFB setup for the 350, intake dated K 22 7, with the correct 2652S and 2653S like your information says. I also have a 318 setup, intake #1822004 dated B 21 7, but are the carbs supposed to be the...

Dual 4bbl setup on 318

I know that the 318 for 59 Plymouth did not come with a dual 4bbl setup. I have a setup on my hardtop probably from a 57 or 58 Plymouth. The carbs look like originals and not new replacements. Can anyone provide me the carb numbers that they should be if they are original ?. Any information would be...

Re: 59 Mirrors

I am not sure what the difference is between the deluxe and regular mirrors. It does have a shroud or eyebrow over the top of the mirror head.

59 Mirrors

I am going to start getting some of my chrome replated, and I had a question about my twin strut mirrors. Once the mirror head is separated from the mount, does the mirror itself push forward out of the round part ?. I haven't tried to take it apart yet, but just thought I would ask. I sure don't wa...

Re: window crank-door handle removal

Roger,

Those pictures help alot to see how the window crank and door handle clips are, especially to me since I have never had mine off yet.

Thanks

Re: 59 Plymouth bumper wings

I will keep looking, and hopefully will turn up a set at some point. I appreciate other members keeping an eye out for them. I remember seeing a front and back set for a 57 - 58 Plymouth that needed redone, on Ebay, within the last couple of months. I can't remember if it was the front or back, but ...
