Re: DICK'S 59 RED & WHITE SPORT FURY RESTORATION.

Very ambitious Dick. Noticed you currently have front disks, but are planning a booster as well. I'll be taking close notes of that as i'm currently standing on the pedal ala drums in a feeble attempt to get the old girl to head for the barn!! Keep up the great work!!

Gino-I dug it out and notice it has a new float, but the resistance reading aren't consistant. Probably why I elected to spring for a new one. You're welcome to this one, but i'd recommend making sure your guage has 12V and a wire connected to your sending unit. Also the sending unit must be grounde...

Re: Fuel Sending Unit

Hi Gino-I've got one I cleaned up and got to read resistance again, but it is an original and sat in stale gas for decades. I decided to not install it in my new tank. If you want it you can have it for shipping charges. Guessing at $10. Steve PS i'll dig it out today, but i think I put a new float ...

Re: Sending unit for a Sport Suburban

Another option: NAPA may offer /used to offer fits all sending units. I've used one of them to success. The come in different ohms ranges and if memory serves me correctly you adjust the float assembly and travel. If the flange doesn't fit you can screw it/glue it maintaining the ground path .

Really nice Dick!! Are you sold on the single stage paint? I'm still clinging to acrylic enamel and thinking it might be time to move on.
