Dan and all, The two addresses given abeve both lead me right in, thanks. I guess I will have to patch them in somewhere, so that I dont need to type in the entire address...(I put the original site on my Favorites list). I am trying to clean up my scrapbook prior to heading for a car show this Frid...

also, it sounds goofy, but go out tonight in the dark and start your car. Open the hood and look and listen...look for sparking wires signifying short circuits. You can use a timing light to test the operation of the vacuum advance. Get the light going, then disconnect/reconnect the vacuum line to s...

okay, good job so far. I will have to look in the 59 manual to see if 318 distributor rotation stayed with the clockwise direction. Everybody with a 318 should be chiming in about vac advance location, but what I meant was the rotor shaft is slotted, so if you loosenand remove the distributor, the s...

and so I have learned your name is Cody. Thanks for the history of your car. Thanks for your persistence, keeping it in the family et al. I have a tune up sheet for 1961 361 cid. It shows the firing order as 8 7 6 5 driver's side 4 3 2 1 V front of car. I would often flip drivers for passenger sides...

1) is your car 2 bbl or 4 bbl..I have an extra 59 Ply air filter with large opening for 4 bbl. I dont believe there needs to be a spacer...someone put it there to keep heat from boiling fuel (vapor lock) 2) You have enough people offering opinions..but here is one more..I think your timing is off (a...

Dan, Matthew says the window operates fine from the master switch. The wires only get hot when trying to operate from separate window switch. This indicates a short in the individual switch...how this could happen, I cannot imagine. Pull out the switch and bench test it. And, while the switch is out...

spent the am getting prepared for a 90 mile round trip to a WPCClub meeting. Finally had to throw all the tools down and give it a shot. Car ran nice..(sure miss that modern 4th gear)...the fanbelt shrieked at speeds over 65. Need to get a slightly shorter one I guess. The temperature sensor doesnt ...

excellent pictures and description of a rusty motor. First you gotta get the bushing/bearing off the shaft. The woodblock clamp seems like a good idea. Be patient w/ the rustcutter!! As for setting the B/B back in the unit with RTV, I have little exp with RTV other than BlueRTV, which I don't recall...

I tend to agree..I don't see how I can hurt anything by filling JUST to overflow, as there is plenty of space in the differential. It was CarTalk where the calleer wanted to know if the consistent overfilling of the oil by the lube shops was going to damage his car...and Click and Clack said as long...

Has anyone tried to do this?
I drained the old oil.
Manual says it will take 3.5 pts. Fill until it spills out or is 1/2" below fillhole.
So I put in 2 qts (4 pts.)..Still no spill-over, and putting a pinky in there, I can't really tell...
whaddya think? call it good?

Nineteen Sport Furys pictured on the site...
10 are red

1 blue
3 copper
1 black
so you suppose this was the percentage from the factory?
I am not looking for the answer...
