Re: 1959 Plymouth Belvedere
Hi Bob Yes I could be interested. How bad are they? Do they still have the mounting pins attached ? What are you asking for the one drivers side? I was hopping to find a nice one but could see if I could get this one replated. Thanks John I'll look for them today and let you know, they do have the ...

Re: What is the correct layout of SF Keys and Locks
Keeping in mind of how things were in those days, I would say again that the trunk key and not the ignition key be the one for the glove box! The reason being, back in the days of parking lots where you had to leave a key for your car, you could just leave the ignition key only, and the attendant wo...

Re: What is the correct layout of SF Keys and Locks
Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the trunk key also be the key to the glove box? When I had my 59 Plymouth, it didn't have a glove box lock, but traditionally in cars of that era that used more than one key, it was usually.. 1 key for door. ignition. 1 key for the trunk, trunk key also for glov...

Re: 59 Belvey on Coasters tour
Whenever you go to a dealership just to look around, most likely a dealer will make an effort to push you into getting an excellent brand new car. I found a website that showed me all the automobiles in my region and their costs. It was great because I was not pressured into getting something. How ...

Re: Back Light For Sale...
Sure, as you know I worked for GM, and there we called the steering column the "mast jacket", the dashboard was called the "IP" meaning the instrument panel, the old style no draft window was known as the "CV" window, dont ask me why! We did call the drive shaft the pro...

Re: Back Light For Sale...
I think you'd have a much better chance of getting some interest in this item if you called it what it is, a rear window!!
I had absolutely no idea what you meant by a "back light"!

Yes it sure is Roger, but the old gal has a good home, and in both car clubs I belong to, we always say that new talent needs encouraging, and i was glad to see his enthusiasm about it!
