convertible tops

The plastic window is full of tiny indentations...could this be caused by 45 years of sitting on a too-hot shelf? Is Acme a good quality top? Does the top have cables or springwires at the edges over the door ...

weatherstripping a ht is easy

compared to a cvt, hardtops are easy to weatherstrip.
I will grant you that the cat whiskers are a tedious project, no matter the body style!

off to the upholsterer

Hello, I gave away my "child" today well, it felt like that. My Plymouth cvt has not been away from home since I got it/created it ten years ago...now it is at an upholstery shop to get a top , well, boot, related weatherstripping, door panels and window whiskers, things that I simply can'...

Tht reminds me of something I was doing...I was worried because the hot radiator water didnt seem to be getting thru the heater core..I had the fan on "High" and the control lever all the way down...
Then I looked again at the little knob on the heater control...UP for heat!

tuning a 61 chrysler engine

Roger, The screw you speak of is, in fact, the IDLE screw...the IDLE screw only affects the idle. Seat the screw, then turn it out 1 1/2 turns. Warm up the engine, and then back out the screw until the engine starts to bog down. Turn it back in a bit, and you're done. Your troubles with acceleeratio...

tune up

Hello, Although the engine in my car is a '61 Chrysler 361, perhaps the carb adjustment is similar to the '59's...If I turn the mixture screw all the way clockwise until it seats, how many turns counter-clockwise do I turn it until I have a good mixture? (I have forgotten how to tune these engines!)...
