Hi Roger

Sorry about that. I reduced the photos as it was taking over 5 min to upload each photo.

I will try to make them bigger next round.

Cheers

Vic - God bless you and your body man. Some of your pictures are scareing the hell out of me but at the same time are very encourging, I have a belvi. convt. basket case on the way to Florida from California, while I know the floors are not good I'm praying I'm a lot luckier than I usually am. I posted some pictures of it. Keep your pictures flowing I'm going to need them. With you, John Q., Tom Fox, Rogers and everybody elses help, I can't miss.

Hi Dick

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Given you recent restorations I believe that you will be more than capable of bringing your new purchase back to life.

Every time I see another panel come off, my coach builder smiles and says, don't worry its only a piece of metal, we will just make another one, and he does.

If you can get your hands on a donor car (like Big M did) that would help you heaps. I have been finding out that the replacement panels arent all they are made out to be.

Cheers

Wow Vic - I thought my 59 had rust problems. Your work is far more detailed than mine, an excellent job. These pictures will be most helpful when I get started on My Belvie Cvt. Could you possible get and send a picture of the inside drain holes at the bottom where the rear windows are. I went a little crazy with the seam sealer (DUH) and used it where the drain holes are, and I'm sure I filled them. My options are to try and dig the seam sealer out or drill new drain holes but I'm leary of drilling not knowing where they will come out at. One last question, where did you find your convertible.

Vic - Never mind, I see in the picture with the primer, the drain holes are in the side not the bottom, Now I know I have to dig out the seam sealer.

Vic's cvt used to be in Oregon (see initial post beginning this thread), prior to that it was in Colton, CA, prior to that I do not know.

Hi Again

Hope all are well.

Just thought i would post some more pics. I managed to finally get around and do some work on the car today. Coach builder has been beavering away slowly. Its really coming together but at a slow and steady pace

Getting around to the drivers side now. Replacement rear quarter panel due to go in shortly, stripped it and etched primed it today. My coach builder has refabricated the entire inner rear boot panels and panel that supports the spare wheel. Hope to be taking the body of the chassis soon so i can get started on the underbody and chassis itself.

Engine has been dropped off and hope to start the rebuild soon

Big M has put me on to a supplier in sweden from whom i hope to be getting the middle bows for the CVT top frame

see you again soon

Cheers

Vic - Outstanding, where on earth did you find a new rear panel. Your car will be a shining example to us all.

I agree with Dick. The work you and your coachbuilder/fabricator are performing on your convert is suberb! Keep the pictures coming on your restoration.

Cheers guys
The rear panels came off a donor 4door a friend of mine had
It's served us both well so far
Yes my coach builder is master magician, I just do what I'm told
Getting sick of drilling out holes and removing panels!
Sorry don't have any further pics of the blue car
Next big head ache is the body colour selectio
I have always loved the copper bronze but the cars original colour was white
My good friend here already has a white one so I don't really want to copy
Will keep you all posted
Cheers
