In a Nov. 58 Hot Rod issue a 59 fury reviewer claims that a Dodge 2- 4 barrel manifold swaps for the Plymouth 361 factory single 4 barrel manifold. This might have been a dealer mod. The article is on the 59 plymouth ephemera magazine section.

that is prety positive evidence of where the Plymouth 2x4 equipped cars originated!
