To me the "Kawasaki racing green" looked like it was photo shopped on that pic, so we kinda thought you were kidding Stefan.........lol

Stefan,

I could certainly understand using "Kawasaki Racing Green" especially since it matches the the later 70's Slime Green, Go Lime or whatever color it was called on Mopars. But I can't say it would match your body color combination.

Keep those pictures rolling in. It is sure great to see someone making progress - you even got Dan motivated!

Well guys - seems you all know me too well - and here the next bunch of pix

- Let’s see if there is enough clearance between the exhaust manifold and the dip Stick. The dip stick is an aftermarket from Mancini Racing. The hole, where the stick is bolt to the motor mount bracket was not in place, so I had to work on it. I hate that!

- I guess I already mentioned the sludge issue a hundred times. The oil passages are clean again and can be closed, hopefully for the next 50 years.

- Double Roller Timing Chain –

- Final installation and

- correctly lined up

- Oil Slinger

- Correct torque

- The push rod for the oil pump was also in the machine shop to rework the contact surfaces with the pump and the cam shaft

- I thought about not installing this rod and go for an electric fuel pump instead

- Maybe I’ll do it late, one day, there are only few bolts to open.

- The new oil pump drive shaft

- well lubricated

- and lined up, just as the manual requires

- Fuel Pump

- and here comes the cover for the timing chain

- probably the last time I see this double roller chain – for the rest of my life

- it starts to look like an engine.
