My memory being what it is! I can't remember what I sent to you, if anything it would have been pictures of how the body mounts are placed. I hope to start on panel replacement this week.

John - Although I didn't shop Big M for a trunk floor I did shop everwhere else. The best I could do was a used trunk floor from two different cars pieced together for $700.00. I don't remember where I found Bob at My55rock@aol.com but I'm glad I did. He makes these factory reproductions himself for $800.00 including freight. That was a couple of years ago. I don't know what he charges now. I think he is located in Connecticut. Real nice guy to deal with. Those abs of steel are covered with Red Beans and Rice, KFC, Po Boy Samiches and Chocolae Ice Cream.

Dick,The floors looked great! I thought you might have used that guy in Detroit who sells on ebay. One of the floor board seat mount section I bought to splice into my cut out floor (from a donor car) was from him and was pretty good hand made section. Off coursce Big M parts are super I hear.

Keep sending the pictures! I can't work on my car for a while due to Rotator Cuff surgery two weeks ago, 4 more weeks in a sling! :| So I will follow your progress and dream!

John - Not to worry! We all need to replace our ball joints once in a while, just keep it greased.

After that front end re-allignment blow up last year... I thought I was done for!

John - Here's the real skinney on the trunk floor. The guys name is Bob McGee (806)513-1118 R/CAR, 60 Belmosa Ave. Rocky Hill, CT. 06067. Bob seems to be a nice guy but be wary, he is very, very slow. Never tell him you are in no rush, alway give him a deadline and make him commit. I was talking to a fellow from Miami this weekend and he finally had to cancel his order and get him money back it took so long. He does good work but takes forever.

Hi Roger - Glad you are back and your computer is working again. I don't know what that structure is, the old floor had that too. As soon as I get it up on the lift I'll take a look and advise.

Roger - At first I thought those structures were to clear the upper shock mounts but that's not the case, they are there so the trunk floor clears the frame rails. Got her home, will send pictures later. Had to get out of the garage where she was, Larry will finish the welding that still has to be done at my house. meanwhile I will start dressing down welds and apply seam sealer where needed.

As I was posting pictures I got a message that Interner explored had quit working so here goes again. As you will notice the front floor pans are nearing completion. The repair panels were not meant to replace the factory floors but to be welded over them. As we saw it, it would have been a nightmare to replace them so we decided to weld it over the ones there. I made sure all underling metal received 2 coats of encapsulator. Anyway they are a lot stronger than before and should last at least another 25 yrs. Besides I won't be around to hear the moaning and groaning over it if whoever decides to look under the carpet.

OK - here's a little progress. Starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere. Oh, and by the way, that's not Bondo, it's Body Filler. Right now I'm removing all the undercoat and crud from the bottom, it will get Osphoed, Eastwood encapsulator, and the sprayed with truck bet liner, including the trunk.
