Belvedere

Dean McDonald

Dean writes, "I have 2 59 Plymouths. They are both Australian delivered 4 door hard top Belvedere's. Both are Poly 318 V8's. One is only good for a parts car. (Too many years out in the weather here in Australia). The other I found by chance when buying a 440 of a bloke in Melbourne. It had been partly restored 20 years ago and never finished but luckily been kept in storage all that time. So this car still needs complete restoration. I am fitting a Blown 440, some convo-pro Centrelines some other more drivable modifications. Body and interior I wish to restore to standard. I have only found information telling me that 200 59 Belvedere 4 door hardtop right hand drive versions were imported. We love the 59's and Mopars in general... She's not real flash yet but I will keep you updated of its progress...I would luv to be in the showcase. Especially an Aussie Plymouth!"

"I live in a town called Geelong. About an hours drive south of Melbourne. Its a great town located on Corio Bay. I am in the Bay City Chryslers car club and Geelong Street Rodders Hot Rod Club. I am kept very busy on my days off as well as being in a Fishing club... If you visit you will have to come when Chryslers on the Murray is on in March. This is a great show."
