John says, "I bought this car a couple months ago from a Rancher in Montana. The rancher is a friend of mine's cousin. This Rancher had taken this car in trade several years ago for breaking some horses for the previous owner. It had been sitting out in the open for a while collecting dirt, mice and birds! I had just sold one of my Barracuda's that same day and had gone to my local Colorado Mopar Club meeting when some pictures were being passed around to all the guys. Well, it finally made it to me and I said 'Sold!'. I then had to call the rancher only to find out some one else wanted the car up in Montana but had never came back. The rancher said wait a couple weeks more and if the other buyer did not show I can buy it. Two weeks to the day I called and got the good news it was mine. I sent the money the next day 'air' and then arranged a time to make the 26 hour round trip from Denver to pick it up. Now it sits in my garage being disassembled. It has some floor pan rust thru and lower quarters but that's it. I picked up the swivel seats from my friend Lee who had customized his '59 Sport Fury and a hood and floor boards from a local salvage yard and now am only missing the drivers door (mine is crinkled real bad) and the mouldings for that door. The car is a Jet black car with a Red, White and Silver interior originally."

"I also am a Former District Sales Manager for Chrysler in the 70's and the 80's and my Father and Grandfather were both engineers in Detroit for Chrysler too! I worked in the auto plants during my college summers in the mid 70's; there's been a member of my family working for Chrysler since 1955, 3 Generations. I also am restoring a 70 cuda Convert and a 68 Sport Fury Convert. The Cuda is my first priority and then the 59. I will probably move along the '68 to help finance the other two cars."

"The '59 recently came back from the media blaster... Now I can start work on the rust repair to the main cabin floor and the right rear quarter area. Still undecided what color to paint it. The original Jet Black didn't excite me to much. I hope to have the repairs done this winter. I am now going to revert my attention and dollars back to my 70 Cuda convert which should be done by early fall. Two projects at one time is draining on money and attention."
