Savoy

"This is my 48,000 original mile (now 60,000: too tempting to drive) 1959 Plymouth Savoy. I found her in a garage in Mercersburg, PA thanks to my friend Jon. He saw an ad in the local classified paper for a 59 Savoy with 68,000 miles on a farm. I have always wanted a 50's finned Plymouth, and when I saw what I had expected to be a barn/shack car with a destroyed body but perfect interior was actually a fairly well-preserved garage-kept 48,000 mile beauty I knew she had to be mine. It wasn't that easy, but I pulled it off and here she is!!

It has few options except for 318, sure-grip (sweeet), two tone paint, wheel covers, the variable speed wipers, windshield washer, lighter, and that's about it. Had only 48,000 when I bought her, but she's too much fun to drive!!! Even the paint is original!!

I have a Weigand "hi-rise" 4-bbl. aluminum intake, and it's going on the poly 318. I bought the intake at the Carlisle swap-meet...

Thanks for picking my car [to be in the showcase] even though it's not red with a white top!!"
