Re: 59 Plymouth turn signal cam/pawl
Hello, Matthew. I should only need the top part. I purchased one similar to the ebay part, but it does not fit. As you can see in my pic, there is a metal piece protruding from the bottom of the column, so it would need to account for that.

Re: 1959 SF Torqueflite pushbuttons
Sounds like a fun project Guy, lol. I've found some buttons to replace the broken ones. As far as the front valance, Dick, I was searching e-bay & found a 59 Plymouth wagon that was being parted out. The part they were selling I did not need, but in the pictures I saw a valance in the back of th...

Re: 1959 SF Torqueflite pushbuttons
Yes Matthew, this was Guy's car. I don't have a pic of the data plate yet. Did you already decode it when Guy owned the car?

Re: 1959 SF Torqueflite pushbuttons
Thanks guys. I've made a list of some of the things I need & have started chipping away at them. Found a front valance, so that's a biggy. I'm sure I'll need some advice in the near future from the experts, so get ready. Btw, how hard is the push button assy to replace?

Re: 1959 SF Torqueflite pushbuttons
I used to live in Southport, NC which is about 20 miles south of Wilmington, so I love that area. So this is my new car. I'm sure you have seen it advertised in Cali for sale. It needs a lot of work, floors, rockers, push buttons, some chrome, headliner, and though someone re-upholstered the interio...

Re: 1959 SF Torqueflite pushbuttons
I did sell the wagon....bought a 56 Dodge Royal Lancer...then traded that for a 59 Sport Fury. That's why I need the push buttons, mine are pretty bad. I also need a few other parts, chrome pieces, etc. I've left John @ Big M a message. Thanks.

Re: 1959 Plymouth Suburban For Sale
Here are a couple of pics that came out ok, lots of sun that day. It will eventually need repainting, as the original paint is dull & thin, but there is no rust & it drives perfect! Btw, any ideas on the best product to polish dull paint without using a buffer?

Re: 1959 Plymouth Suburban For Sale
Well, it sold locally for more than the non paying bidder offered. They knew a tremendous amount about '59s and were impressed. Kinda sad to see it go, but better to someone who will restore it now, rather than me keep it for a year or two untouched. Btw, do you mind if I post my '56 Dodge to show? ...

Re: 1959 Plymouth Suburban For Sale
 Bamboo flooring might work if I was going for the tiki look. Well, as you may have noticed, I relisted it due to a non paying bidder. I listed for only three days. If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it until I can wok on it in the fall. I did just have two Forward Look restorers check it out...

Re: 1959 Plymouth Suburban For Sale
Well, it sold. Not quite as much as I had hoped, but I was looking for a quick sale, otherwise I would have kept it. Now I am going to make plans for laying bamboo flooring & concentrate on my '56 Lancer. I'll be looking for a Sport Fury next year, so I'll be around. Thanks for all your help.
