Re: Replacing intake manifold gaskets

Hi, I am going to give you the old mechanical tech view of the oil baffle/shield and windage tray and what they are intended for without going to the deep end of the pool; Oil baffle/shield, The heat crossover in the intake manifold gets so hot that it bakes the oil and impurities to the bottom of t...

Re: Towing question

Ernie; I assure you it is better to tow with your Plymouth, than with the old Ford. Automatic transmission equiped vehicles make better tow units. I have towed many thousands of problem free miles with Power Flite and Torque Flite cast iron transmissions. Make sure your radiator and transmission oil...

Re: Dual 4 bbl. Air Cleaners.

F.Y.I. The original oval air cleaner necks are too small for the newer carbs, maybe someone makes a reverse adapter. Dual carbs should be small C.F.M. rated. The original AFB carbs work just fine. I have no idea what the CFM rating was, I would guess less than 600 C.F.M. together.

Re: !Hazard a Guess!

My guess would be 600 plus being I have an engine hoist that would pick up an early Hemi engine but couldn't budge the early Big Chrysler 6 cylinder engine less a transmission.
