She leaks me... she leaks me not

Last fall, I had all six of the lower freeze plugs replaced (with rubber ones). Seemed to work great... Over the winter, I noticed that there was antifreeze in the drip pan! Bummer, dude! One winter day on a drive, it seemed to leak quite a bit... I couldn't identify which freeze plug it was coming...

You Oughta Be in Pictures ('59 Plymouths in the movies)

Folks, Something Matt Menges said about seeing a taxi in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" prompts me to say -- can folks suggest movies in which '59 Plymouths are clearly identifyable? (I don't know if Matt was saying it was a '59, or just a car with big fins.) It might be cool for me to ...

318 Oil Filter

I'm thinking of changing Faulkner's oil on Friday -- is AutoZone likely to have it, or am I going to have to go to NAPA? Anyone have a NAPA part number?

Oh yeah -- I don't mind if you place your notice in announcements, but "For Sale" might be a better place for it.

Thanks!

Roger, By all means! Post your parts to eBay. Then, alert folks in this venue (mailing list, too) that you're putting the parts up for sale, by including a link to your offering. Like this: Tiffany Medallion http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7900209286&ca...

New Forum! "Vendors and Services Offered"

Know of a vendor you particularly like, offering parts or services? Tell the group about it here -- and don't forget , provide contact information too. A website is particularly helpful, but a phone number will do. If you have had a bad experience with a vendor, let us know that too... Thanks Dan

For the computer geeks among us:

This should do the trick! I'll put it on the "To Do" list!

Roger, did they give you a time estimate? I've got a box full of weatherstripping, cats whiskers, etc. from Andy Bernbaum. I've got no excuse now! Just some warmer weather and time off... But boy, wouldn't it be sweet for me to take Faulkner to the upholsterer and have somebody do it for me. (*sigh*)

Hmmm...... Gives me an idea, Matthew. I save links in email folders all the time; interior, body, engine, rubber, etc. Maybe on the links page, I should set up a place where people could contribute their favorite links... I wonder if there's some prebuilt javascript out there for displaying folders,...

Yes, the Tiffany medallions are the circular medallions on the fins. I've taken a closer look -- I see that indeed I have a left and I right. But, I believe the left medallion is on the right side, and vice versa! I'll remove them and report back...

Nice detective work, Matthew! I recognize the 4-door Fury as having been on sale on eBay sometime back -- perhaps that's why the website doesn't work. But the other two are very solid leads. Do you want to contact them, or should I? If you contact them, be sure to ask for more pix and a bit of histo...
