Re: Hazard / emergency flashers

Went out to an old cars parts and storage, found this gem; a four way flasher system complete, from a 1966 D200. These used to take me about 20 minutes to recover and re-attach the wiring, embarrassed to let you know what it actually took me today. We mentioned these earlier in this thread. Post Sc...

Re: B Body 8 3/4 rear question

The axle change should be okay, the self energizing rear brakes will be needed with the small front disc brake system. The B body rear axle, years 62-70 is only about two inches narrower track. The stock tires and wheels will work fine. Engineering the E-brake cable system will be fun. Rick

Re: Still more snow

Only a few inches and people are abandoning their cars on the street. It is windy, with poor visibility. Static electricity makes snow cling on our windows. Thanks to vertical opening garage door, I was able to dig out front and back doors, back door will need it again in the morning.

Re: Still more snow

Dan, Thank You, If it wasn't for wind our roofs would have collapsed. I lucked out that snow storm, My friend was a contractor and left his 20 yard dump truck and Bob Cat skid steer in my back yard. I utilized them both to dig out, and my neighbors driveways after the city plowed us in. I had his e...

Thanks for asking. I guess I will be engineering a tap guide for the crank shaft, being able to thread to 1/2 by 20 threads per inch eight times is harder to do on an assembled engine.

A 990 still a push button style transmission.jpg

There are two styles in 1959 Torque Flites, good to have both O ring seals. Now My Son and Son-in-law finished off all my "Colorado Native Project timers." There are four different now, my favorite is the original.

Re: Cast iron A-466 to A-727 conversion Forward Look 56 to 61

Replace this O ring, or you will have a leak. Anyone for leftovers? With the rooster comb in the center detent, have an assistant hold the drive button in, adjust in the adjustment wheel, secure with screw and test, use a powered test light and make sure your neutral safety is actuated in neutral. ...
