Re: custom license plates
That is pretty awesome, would love to see how they turn out! I guess this is a great option for those states that don't need both front and rear plates. I have a pair of mint condition 1959 Ohio plates on my Sport Fury, but it is registered with an Ohio Historic plate and then linked to an original ...

That's a great idea, Gary! I definitely would be coming near Youngstown via I-76!GaryBitner wrote: ↑Thu May 24, 2018 6:17 am Steve, if you come through Youngstown, we can set up a Carlisle Convoy!

Re: Carlisle 2019!
If I can ensure my Sport Fury is trust worthy enough to make the 318 mile haul from Ohio, I'm in! "We're looking fine cause we're the class of '59!"

Re: Proud '59 Belvedere Owner
Beautiful car, Gary! I remember seeing this on Ebay back in the late summer/fall and if I hadn't bought my Sport Fury in March I would have been all over that. Especially since I'm in Cleveland and Mansfield is only not that far from where I grew up. Funny you spend time in Florida since that is whe...

Re: My '59 Sport Fury
Thanks, guys! Next step is to get rid of the Edelbrock carb and get the original rebuilt so I can actually put the restored air cleaner on!

Re: My '59 Sport Fury
Nice Sport Fury!!! Share some more info about it! Post that build sheet if you can, I can decode that :D Hi Matt! You were an amazing help last summer, you already decoded my sheet and I thank you again! But here it is with your comments: 312- accessory group which included back up lights, windshie...

Re: My '59 Sport Fury
There is definitely enough left of that valance to work with. Much better shape then some of them out there. Being that low they tend to always be dented / Smashed. Wonder what the story is on it being red? From a donor car maybe? I believe they were all argent silver from factory... either way wit...

Re: My '59 Sport Fury
Thank you everyone for the kind words! I definitely fell in love with the colors- mainly the interior being the spring color of turquoise, really pops with the white exterior. I also verified it is the correct color combo via the tag on the firewall and the build sheet I got from Chrysler. The car l...

Re: My '59 Sport Fury
Welcome aboard Steve! Yes, a classy looky 59SF, indeed. A valance is hard to come by - they are like hen's teeth. Do you mean to say you have one, it's just ripped up? Here's the miracle that Dick Koch worked with mine. I seem to recall that John Fowlie had one that was flat as a pancake, and he so...

My '59 Sport Fury
New member here- I actually bought my Sport Fury in spring 2017, just now joining here. Not new to the Forward Look, I once had a '57 Chrysler Saratoga 2-door hardtop and a '56 Dodge Coronet Lancer 4-door hardtop. Looking forward to spring and getting my Plymouth out- '59 has always been my favorite...
