Re: Power brake pedal
Just my thoughts and not my manifesto ... Have you seen ever seen a better booster system that allows you to use decades newer master cylinders and almost replace the entire brake system and still work perfectly? Chrysler engineering was great, the self energizing center plane brake was better than...

Re: Power brake pedal
Power brake lever adjuster. Please note; The bolt head just left of center in the photo submitted earlier, the bolt head with a small arrow on it. This is the boost adjustment that controls the position of the thin metal piece with the curved end, that controls the vacuum control button between the...

Re: Transmission interchange question
Yes there are many aftermarket systems (mostly crap only in my opinion). . and you could find a rear axle disc brake system from a 1974 CHRYSLER OR PLYMOUTH SUBURBAN WAGON, or newer Dodge trucks inc. Durango and Dakota. the newer trucks would require you to re-drill stud location s. if you want to r...

Re: Power brake pedal
Daniel,
The top of your pedal should be like the unit shown in picture. Without the power brake lever control and adjuster I am not sure how to make your unit work.

This manifold will bolt onto 1966 A engines, but this type manifold ended in 1959, being the choke well showed up in 1960.

Re: Intake casting # 1828103
Your casting number does not show in my books. but I do know the casting is a 1958 number. It will bolt on your Plymouth A engine. The 58 manifolds usually were sans the choke well, and used a bakelite bi-metalic choke unit that was fastened to the side of the AFB carb. These had an exhaust manifold...

Re: Transmission interchange question
With the use of an adapter kit for A engine conversions . you could install either the 727A or the 518 overdrive to your 59 engine , the adapter plate for the block and a flywheel/flex-plate crank adapter. and a 426 Hemi flex-plate. cost about $400 . and the 518 is an additional $100. The 62,63,64, ...

Re: SEALING REAR BACKLIGHT MOULDING.
I found out the hard way you do not want to seal glass with silicone or RTV . It ruined my gasket for later use and the metal side rusted faster than ever. I use non-hardening glass sealer now and had no problems. I also use the primer first a black paint like material. I also will plug 3M products ...

Re: 59 Fury 2HT, no glass, $5K in Denver
My son's next door neighbor has a Black 1961 Dodge Pioneer wagon, 318 poly, Torque Flite. So ugly it is stunning. The family bought it new in 1960. They have parked it out side and does not appear to be running any more. Not a in too bad of condition for a utilitarian vehicle of that age. I'll check...

Re: Whistling Plymouth
Years ago I had a mysterious whistle, I traced to my vacuum operated brake booster control valve, on the pedal side. I sprayed it with an inexpensive penetrating oil,' T ri flo a Teflon infused light weight oil' the whistling ceased after the first application of the brakes. I also had a friend that...

ForJeff: I have pulled these from the axle housings, at the local automotive recycle and paid more. And I have sold them for as little as $35. when I needed funds. Not a good business practice. But I love the hobby.
