This is not My Car.... just found this 1959 Plymouth on eBay.
1959 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible Highest Level Show Car
If your search is for one of the finest examples of a fully restored Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible, your search will end here. An original Colorado car Finished in Bronze Metallic (Copper) with the Swivel Bucket Seat interior... It's stunning! Powered by the Golden Commando 361 cubic inch "395 B" Block, cruising at highway speeds is a breeze. Options include the Electronic Headlight Dimmer and the "Mirror-Matic" (auto-dimming) rear view mirror. Our seller is a retired Chrysler executive who personally managed the restoration of this exceptional Sport Fury, and it was his intent for it to be correct down to the "logo bolts" used to complete the frame-off restoration. Less than 700 miles have been enjoyed since completion. It has been shown at several Concours level events.
Sorry to see it up for sale, he did a super job on it. Surprised it did not get taken to one of the major auction sites for selling. I would love to bring it back to Colorado...
Theres always some in any restoration, the first one I found was the heater hoses on the firewall are wrong position, but in the older pic's they were in the correct position. Oh well..Easily fixed by the new owner.
I will have to look closer to see some of the other oopps that were made that Matthew spotted. The trunk does not count as that is all wrong with the carpet but the spare tire is neat with the period ribs on the side wall.
Matthew ,Please list all that you see wrong so the rest of us can see if our cars have the same faults so we can correct them. If we can fine tune our own cars it just makes them better with detailing points.
I just found two more issues, the VIN tag should not be painted body color, There is a strip of rubber at the top of the cowl that I have never seen on any other car before..
I will have to look at the pics again for all the things.
From a quick look at the pics posted here:
As mentioned the dash pad color
The rubber strip on the cowl should be in the hood
Heater hoses are connected wrong
Interior is correct but ALOT of wrinkles
The boot where the top lowers in should be black
