I saw this blower motor on eBay, and thought - should I buy it? I don't know if mine works or not...

So, I tested it. Scraped a little spot on the body under the threshold, jumpered each side of the connector in turn to the positive side of the battery, and grounded the ground strap to my scratch point. Doncha know, the motor sprung to life! Both high and low speed. It's probably been twenty years or longer since it ran. I'm good to go!

I got my generator and starter back today. I asked him not to paint, I didn't want to take any chances on the generator spec plate - I'll be painting these myself.

It's still too damn k-k-k-old to crawl under Faulkner, can you believe it?! What a crazy spring. And I've got to finish the deck anyway, Honey-Do List and all that.

Not a lot of action on the Forum these days, eh? Not a lot of action in my garage, either. But! I'm still buying stuff. And today, I got my radio back... Can't wait to bench test it, with my Crutchfield speakers.

And starting today, I have officially stopped working Fridays. Ever. For the rest of my life. Four days a week, until the end of the year. Then - three days a week next year? Or, maybe pack it in altogether... We will see.

Maybe now, I'll start to get something done on Faulkner.

Dan, I check in just about every day waiting on some fresh Faulkner action and any other new bits....but lately its been crickets chirping and tumbleweeds blowing across the forum. So I guess we will have to keep it alive :D

The radio turned out GREAT!!!! Cant wait to hear of your results, mine along with a speedo and clock are all boxed up and maybe soon I will get them in the mail so they can get the same treatment as your radio.

I'm excited to hear that that every Friday is an Aloha Friday 8) from here on out! that is huge!!!! Congrats!! Now you really have to get cracking on Faulkner!

Indeed, Will. First, Kerry's wedding (my stepdaughter) this weekend, then off to Austin next weekend to visit my son and his family. But Memorial Day - the unofficial start of summer - will find me under Faulkner.

Here, I've blown up the vendor's label on the radio, Dick:

They kept the faceplate entirely stock, but gutted it and put new electronics inside. By switching the power off then on quickly, you can switch between different modes - AM, FM and Bluetooth. With the latter, I can stock up my iPod with Fifties tunes and commercials and pretend I'm back in the day. The pushbuttons still work! There are balance and fade controls too, by quickly double-turning the tone control. Pretty cool!

It was pricey, Dick! The Bluetooth added almost 50%. $585 plus shipping.

I knew it! I showed my hand. Did the bases turn up today, BTW? They should have.
