New Project 59 Fury

Post by 59$avoy »

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago off of Craigslist for $400 with the intention of just parting it out, as we were loading it on the trailer i realized how solid it still is. It didn't have a title so I went today to the DMV and applied for one, they did a check and the VIN was clear. I did find an insurance paper in the glove box that was from Oklahoma which is why it's in such decent shape yet---structurally that is. The engine is gone and the interior is pretty shot, and obviously all the suspension, brakes and such will have to be rebuilt. but all the glass is good, most of the trim is in decent shape and the frame is solid. There is a little crust on the rocker panels and on the lower quarter panels but i got a brand new set of rocker panels with the deal. I'm thinking that because it would take so much to make it really nice that this is the perfect candidate to make a straight axle gasser, which is something that i've always wanted to do. My Savoy is in decent shape and looks pretty much stock so I can go a little crazy with this one, maybe a big block with a tunnel ram and no hood? We'll see! My wife is already thinking that she is taking over the Savoy..........
Here is a couple of pics

Looks to be in great shap overall, $400 bucks? what a deal! The front bumbers use to have the nerf/bumper strips on them with the perforations in the leading edge of them.

Kinda a blank canvas...

Good luck!

Plus it had the remains of a Deluxe wheel too! The rubber matt carpet looks to be in good shape too!
