OK, this is the third try. Last Saturday April 30. We (the gang) made our annual trek to the sugar festival, it's a 1-1/2 hr. drive from my house. We leave early so we can get our reserved spot under the big tree (shade). They usually have 150-200 cars, there is a small carnival for the kids, a flea market for the ladie, food vendors for the guys. We gotta have our grease!! Our car club, the Asphalt Angels caravaned 11 cars and we won the club participation trophy for the 11 year in a row. Clewiston is on the south shore of Lake Okeechobee, not many cars came from the west coast because of Love Bugs. If you haven't experienced the joy's of Love Bugs you haven't been to Florida. They can turn you car into a gooey black mess in a heart beat. Fortunately we didn't have any on the east side of the lake.
Dick.
