Turn signal switch insulator

Post by ChippLake1 »

While removing the turn signal switch in my Sport Fury in order to replace it, the insulator I had to disconnect broke apart and now need to search for a new one. Of course I cannot find anything suitable online, and I am trying to avoid replacing both male/female connectors as it's not easy to get to! Has anyone been able to source this piece or have one I could buy?

Also, lots of overspray on the wires and insulator, was the interior painted after the wiring was rigged up, or is this an obvious case of it being repainted at some point in the past?

I don’t know how to advise here - I’ve tried a couple of NOS sites, to no avail. Perhaps John Fowlie (bigmauto.com) would consider selling you the mated connectors cut out of the steering column and you could gingerly try to separate and salvage the piece(s) you need. Best of luck…
