I play 12 string guitar. I learned in the clasical tradition, Mom and Dad thought me and my siblings all should play an instrument. I very rarly play anythin classical in nature anymore, I prefer to play Led-Zeppelin. As far as a band goes at this time I am not in a band and really donot have plans to be in one. I would like to learn to play the violin in the future. I have my granfathers violin collecting dust. I think the violin is the most beutiful sounding instrument. It can soar to the highiest highs or can be the sadest, or lonliest sounding instrument. Anyway Music for me is just a way for me to escape.

Matthew

Is it an R'n'R band you'll be playing with ?
I also play Bass guitar and have played in a few bands in the UK.
Doo Wop is my favourite with Rockabilly and Rock n Roll a close second.

We get quite a few bands from the Continent playing in the UK so I guess there is still a large following.

Anyway I can't talk music any more , I need to get my mind back on the Plymouth cos the backlights still need sorting and the show season is here already.

Hi Guy,

No, it's not a R'n R band. It's a punk-rock band.
It would be cool to play R'n R but there are not too many people here that wants to play that.
What bass guitar do you have??

Good luck with your Fury! I hope everything works out good/soon!

Matthew

I have an Antoria Twin Caster - semi acoustic (Gibson copy)
and 76 Fender Jazz reissue Both in sunburst.

Amps are Trace Elliot for small gigs and practice with Fender 300W
for larger venues.

Loads of music in the house - my 17 yr old son also plays guitar and
keyboards He's into Muse and Beloved etc etc ??????? Just took the names off some CD covers so I assume I've got the band names and not the album names.

Cheers

Really nice basses!!!! Got a pic of that Jazzbass???
Muse is indeed a band. They are good but not really my stuff. If Beloved is a band, I don't know. Your son must know a couple of band that I know. He probably knows Foo fighters, Nirvana, Dropkick murphy's, Blink 182, Sum 41 and a couple more.
Here's my 64 reissue Mustang bass

good to see that there are other bass players here. i play spector basses. i have a usa ns-4 , a check made ns-4 rebop and a korean made neck through from the mid 80's. i love spector basses. they have a neck similar to a fender bass. i have played in a lot of bands over the last14 or so years.im in 2 bands at the moment, mostly harder edged rock, from ac/dc to nickelback to metalica and megadeth type stuff..
