He used the Dodge as his main vehicle for some years, but in 1964 purchased a pickup truck and the Dodge was stored in small garage attached to his house, where it sat under a cover for 35 years. In 1997, the car was pulled out of storage and put back on the road. Some work was done to the rocker panels and one or two small patches were made in the floorpans. The green was repainted using the original shade, while the white roof remained covered with the factory paint.
