One Sport Fury seat/door buckle

Post by Denver 59 Fin Convert »

My upholstery shop has pushed me to on my SF interior on my Belvy convert (I know Blasphemy with all my Belvy rantings these past years...) They suggested that I should put the buckles on to complete the look of my Sport Belvedere look.

Well, I have been slowly picking up these buckles on E bay and swap meets ( got some 1978 ford T-bird buckles in a E bay failed purchase..) but I am short one single buckle to finish my seats.

So if anyone has a single one they would not mine selling me I would appreciate it. This would be the large one with the square hole in it not the small one that is on the door panel with no hole.

Please check your stash of 59 parts for me.

Thanks!

Would donating one be OK? We have one spare left in our parts department.

I already found the buckle and all I need as a good small box to send it. Will let you know when it's shipped to you. I will send it with insurance so you might have to sign for the package, last time I (or actually Dan) sent out a buckle it got missing in the mail and the box was returned to Dan eith only a few milk caps in it :(

No need to pay the shipping, some day you can just return the box with items for Matthew.

Thanks Ron! Tell Matthew his Goers order we did a few months ago shipped to me last friday, 4-13-12. I should get it in a day ot two. His Red Convertible top cover took forever to make and they would not ship the rest of the items till that was done.

I will subtract the charges for the buckle off of what it costs to ship all of his stuff to Holland. I will let him know how much the purchase was. I pre-paid it and told him he could pay me when I shipped it to him. Ineed to dig up those key blanks that mysteriously showed up at my place that are yours too!. Glad he is working now to pay for it!

Thanks again for the buckle!

Matthew, they are arriving on Tuesday and I will hold onto them till you come in June. I thought you would want them sooner but June is fine, if your plans are to bring them back in your suitcase...

On the buckle, I do need it rather quickly if possible , since they are doing my seats this week and into next week.

Dick, do you have a spare buckle?

John - Yes I have one but the wire piece on the back is missing, you are welcome to it, I will mail ASAP. If you look closely I think you may be able to crimp a piece of wire in it.

Dick, I will take you up on it. I could JB weld a clip on to it and use that one on the door panel that may take less stress on it. I will still have the Keij's send theres and I will return whichever one I don't use. And I will pay for shipping from you too!

I don't know how long the Keij's one will take from Tulip land so best to have a back up to it. I could also solder a piece onto the back side if JB weld won't work, but I am sure it will.

Thanks 59 Forum Team! :D

JB weld is good. It will cost more for you to pay for it than the postage. Just plan on buying my rubin sandwich next time we meet. If you don't use it save it for the next guy that may need one.
