Oke, so I want to take them off for some new black paint.
Since our car is in storage I can't see if it's difficult to get them off.
Does anybody know how to do it or have a pic?
I can't find a good pic anywhere

Hi matt,
i think I can help here. Take the medallions off the car, then drill out the "Rivets" of the ornament...drill only as far as you need to release the flared-over portion, of course!

Roger, did you just glue the gold pieces back on, after you painted the medallions? I mean, in lieu of the rivets...

Thanks Roger!
What glue did you used to glue them back on the medallions??
Also what paint did you used?
Dan, I made some pics for you. I can post or mail them if you want?

Matthew, feel free to upload to bulletin board if you like -- or, if you want me to add a new web page for Chrissie, I can do that too. Your call!

A new page would be cool! Something like: Preparing for resto?
I'll let my dad send you the pics!

I believe I used epoxy. The gold paint was something I picked up at the auto parts store..I just gave it a few light sprays and it looked pretty good.
