Chryslers at Carlisle 2016
Re: Chryslers at Carlisle 2016
Bernie, I did get a chance! But I don't have your powers of observation - including the picture you reference, here. Hope to see you next year!Bernie B. wrote:Dan,
Did you get to see any of the inside displays at Carlisle? Link below.
I just came across this one from one of my favorite daily websites, showing a couple of drag cars of 45 or so years ago of John Petrie, and in the background is a poster of his 59 Sport Fury from his early days. Recall I sent you a copy of that picture when I spotted it a few years ago. Don't know if John was there in person, but I've seen coverage of another event he attended in Canada a couple years ago where someone created a scale model of that bronze Sport Fury. You know that stuff is close to my heart.
Hope I can get back to Carlisle in the next year or two.

Re: Carlisle 2016 - Daniel Dalton's Fury
This afternoon, out of the blue, I received a call from Dan Dalton! So Carlisle Promotions came through, and passed along my contact info.Faulkner wrote:On Saturday about 8a, we spotted this car owned by Daniel Dalton - it was gone about 10a! We never met him, and no one seems to know who he is. I gave my contact info at the registration booth, hopefully they will contact him and he will get in touch with me. Sweet ride!
Nice guy - he said (I think) that he has a '38 pickup, and that the Fury is his wife's. Hope we see him on the Forum soon!
